Think this one was given away as a freebie with ST Action.

I think the Speccy had two expansion packs, as the original game only had three levels, the first of which was the Cyber Hordes and Paradise Valley which was included (this is why on the ST version your Laser Marines change uniform on the last two levels) and two other levels which sadly did not make it.. Boo.

The Spectum version had an expansion pack and later a remix version was released however the ST expansion pack was unfortunately never released. :(

I first played Laser Squad on a 128k Spectrum and I was blown away, since then I've been a major strategy fan.

Truely great game (though it could do with some more levels), has anyone out there finished Paradise Valley on level 7. Getting across the river at the end is impossible! If you like this you may like Lords of Chaos which is similar (in fact it's kind of the sequel) but more of the magic and monsters ilk.

This is one of my favourite games of all time. You control a team of space marines and must complete objectives in a variety of levels. It's a bit like a forerunner to all the real time strategy games you get these days, although it was turn based. The game is quite tense, especially when you've only got a couple of marines left, and there are lots of difficulty levels to choose from. A great game!
