Its interesting to see what i wrote about this game 3 years ago, but i still regard this as being the king of the isometric/topdown racers....still best in its class....loved it in the arcades, and on every computer it got ported to (with the exception of C64)....this was one of those rare occassions where they got the conversion from the arcades SPOT ON...there's usually always sacrifices that have to be made when doing coin op conversions but happily, this game lost none of its playability in the conversion and the graphics are up to par....and that is rare when you think of so many arcade titles that flopped on home computer.

I bought a boxed original of this about 9 years ago and lost the codewheel. Then later I got annoyed having the box and disk which I couldn't use, so I threw them away. Guess what I found a few months back? The codewheel! (ended up throwing that away too...) The ST version is very nice, light years ahead of the quality of the terrible Lynx version.

Yhea this was an ace game....by far the best game in it`s class (and I`m thinking of titles like supersprint, badlands, etc). The conversion from the arcade to ST (and others) I felt was seamless. It`s one of the first games I put on whenever I dig out my old STFM.

great game for little party's. race with (more) friends at the same time. earn money buy car upgardes etc. It runs ok. steering is funny. the graphics are ok. But i have to say I also played this game on a PC486 where the graphics where sharper and the framerate slightly higher. but who cares?! after 2 laps you won't even notice it anymore. just race and party on ;)
