This was basically a rewrite of the old Spectrum game Lords of Midnight in STOS. The utterly ludicrous story and the unlikely cast of heroes gave it a wicked sense of humour though, and it was fun to play even if you couldn't take it seriously.

Most likely winning the award for the game with the most convoluted and worrying storyline in existence, GBOT was nevertheless a fun fest - and pretty damn tough as well! You controlled 12 "personages" through the island of Tharg trying to destroy the evil Glass Buttock... which was protected by legions of Bum Bandits (quite...) I remember almost beating it on several occasions... I remember having six 200-strong battalions approaching the causeway to the Buttock's castle, only to be decimated completely by a literal horde of Bum Bandits. Only Captain Picard escaped, and he was swiftly hunted down and burned. Heh.
