For me it started ok but got bogged down in puzzles that didn't seem so clever as much as just figuring the correct combinations. I never finished it as I became less fascinated and scared. I want to be scared and it quit scaring me.

This was one of a series of graphic adventures, others include ShadowGate and Deja Vu (they have similar menu systems anyway). There are so many ways to die in this game... including that scary ghost lady. Once you let her out, there's nothing you can do if you don't have the anti-ghost bottle. I also remember that little imp that runs around, and you're supposed to catch it at some point.

Right Steve, I think (and i'm going back 10 - 12 years or so!) you quickly go through the door at the very end and down the stairs. one of the rooms is a storeroom. Look at the bottles. one is very clearly marked 'Anti-ghost' (or something similar) pick that up, back up the stairs, open the door and use it on her. If you ever tell me how to get past the two dogs later, let me know....

This game is a lot of fun but there's a scary old lady in the first hallway when you open a door. Take extreme caution with her, I've never figured out how to get past her. If you have figured out a way to get past her please post a note telling me how.
