My neighbour had this on the Amiga. I never played the ST version. If you typed a swear word in at the high score table an on-screen message said you activated some kind of cheat. We never figured out what it did though !?!?

I have lots of memories of playing Baal back when I was six. I remember coming home from Merryhill at that time in 1989 and playing it for a few hours on the Atari ST computer. When I finally learned how to climb the ladders on the game, I found some creatures in the background. When I first saw them, I got kind of scared at first. When I used the chair to go across to another booth but couldn't make it in time, I always laughed when I would blow up. The first few times I played Baal, I laughed so much when I lost a life getting up too close to the force field. This is a really cool game to play and any person that likes side scrolling games should try this one for once. Baal can be found on Automation compact disk 49.

A really enjoyable game with nice graphics (as in most releases by Psyclapse and Psygnosis). And I really liked the intro music. I heard a rumor saying that it was in fact Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks who made it, but I don't know if that's true. Probably not. Although there are a few really frustrating moments, it's still worth downloading.

I loved the graphics and sci-fi theme to it, played it for hours.
