agreed that its a quality coin op conversion, something you didnt get a lot of in those days due to cynical software bosses wanting to rip the hell out of a marketing license.....no problems with Op Wolf tho....hasnt got much longevity because its always the same thing, but thats something the arcade version suffered from too....decent for a 10 minute blast up
I loved this on the Spectrum, and the ST version improves onit in almost every area - the mouse control is ideal, graphics and sound are understandably better, and the loading (though long by ST standards) is quicker. Quality conversion all round
there was no way this was gonna be anywhere near as good as the arcade, i want my uzi. as a 16bit version, it benefited a little from mouse control, but its just to damn hard, oh and the c64 version was ok as well
A conversion of the Taito arcade machine, but without the UZI that the coin-op had. Still, the mouse was quite good for moving the target around and this was quite good fun. Like all of these types of game though once you had learnt the attack patterns and finished it once it was always the same. The graphics were quite good, and until you had completed it this was good fun. Try the sequel Operation Thunderbolt for more of the same.
