An excellent simulation-style racer; easily the best game of its kind on the ST. The graphics were great for the time and you could almost forgive the slight slowdowns that you sometimes got when there was a lot of detail to be shown (e.g. coming out of the pits.) Best of all though was the high degree of realism; it actually felt like you were driving a car which is something that no arcade racer game does for me.

Unforgetable game. After i had wasted my university years playing this, i ended up on the dole with an equally Grand Prix wasted friend. We rented this REAL DUMP of a house, with only 1 good bedroom. We played a Full Race at interlagos to decide who got the room. I screwed up with 2 laps to go, and slept on a broken bed for a year. Awesome

First saw this game reviewed in ACE magazine. I just had to get it after that! Totally beyond anything the ST had to offer at that point which Crammond's other game "Stunt Car Racer" being the only other driving game that kept me playing.

I remember being blown away when I first saw this game. As others have commented its dated now but it was sooo much fun to play back then. The shear fact that other computer cars could actually make mistakes was great. Stunt Car Racer (an earlier game by Crammond) was brilliant but this lapped that twice over. Great graphics, roaring engine noises and as realistic a simulation of formula one as you will find on an ST.

Singly responsible for my dismal performance at school exams. Revolutionary at the time, but the whole thing has unfortunately dated badly. Still - Crammond's latest effort, GP3, fails to capture the magic that this game sparked for me - perhaps the hyperactive imagination of a 14-year old at work?

81%? GOod lord. This game is responsible for a wasted childhood along with sensible soccer and Player Manager. At the time the graphics were cool and shunted all other racing games unmercifully a nearby concrete wall left to burn alive. It kicks arse. Nuff said
